Simple autumnal pleasures

These apples were dropping and it seemed a shame to waste them so with the help of a broom handle and a garden chair and my father's dog  I decided to pick them and make a fruit crumble very autumnal.

Apples just waiting to be peeled.

How do you train your helper to NOT eat the apples? ;-)
That crumble looks yummy - apple crumble with custard is one of my all-time favourites!

Thank you for popping by and leaving a comment. My helper does not seem too bothered with apples he prefers crisps or stealing peanuts from the kitchen sides !!
But we absolutely adore him.

Mmmmm mmmmm. Looks yummy Sally.
i have made lots of crumbles lately - apple and blackberry. I picked the blackberries whilst out walking the dog, and like your dad's dog she helps pick the blackberries, and eats them!!
