pretty knitted corsage

The pattern for the petals comes from "Knitted Flowers" by Susie Johns ( Search Press)
I used the Anemone pattern but made it up in my wool with a felt button centre.  It certainly livens up this plain jumper.  It could either be sewn in place ( and taken off for washing ) or backed with felt and put on a brooch pin.  There are 20 flowers to make in the book.  I am going to make the sweet looking daisy next I have a nice creamy white wool and some yellow embroidery thread for it.  I think this book would provide hours of knitted fun and relatively quick projects great for Mothers Day either the book or something knitted from it.  Apparently you can also sell them for charity which is a rather nice idea.  Happy knitting  :)
