sketch book robin work in progress

I took my inspiration from a photo I had taken of a little garden robin. They are such cute little birds with their warm red colouring so cheery to see in winter. And it does seem to have turned this evening into a bit of a chill. I am trying to get some Christmas cards done. I went shopping today and the shops are full of lovely things to buy. Here are some sketch book images of my Christmas robin. The first is taken on my phone and the following two have had their colours altered by that fun app on Instagram. The card will need refining before it can go to be sold but I thought you might like to see the work in progress. Are any of you all organised and wrapped up ready or like me and just beginning to think about it all. Really as crafters we should think about it all seasons ahead. Do any of you manage this ? I had a great grandmother and the story goes that she used to knit her jumpers in the summer and make her summer dresses in the winter so she could enjoy the sun, while her daughters were inside still making theirs. Have a lovely evening x

The cards are beautiful. I really like the colouring on the last one. I'm making progress on Christmas preparations but certainly am not ready yet.

The robin is lovely! I like the effects you get from the app (which one is it by the way if you dont mind my asking? I'm getting my first "grown up" phone this weekend (both hubby and daughter have had iPhones for ages, I'm always last!) so I'd like to download something similar.
Your Great-Grandmother was very wise!I'd love to be organised enough to do that.
Have a great weekend Sally!

Hi Sally, thank you for taking the time to get back to me and answer my questions! If I understood these things better, I would have realised the info was already there in your post! But I thought it meant there was an extra app you had to get, and not that it was all there on Instagram! It will all make sense to me once I sign up I hope!My phone should arrive tomorrow so I'm hoping my daughter will be around to get me going!
Thanks for your help and info Sally, its very kind of you.
