Snowman Christmas card

As you can see I am still on the Christmas card theme nearly there. I love starting projects but some times find it a bit of a stretch to complete them. I have cut my 10 designs to five so one more to go. The printer suggested a snowman so here he is! I am going to do a squirrel next that will be a bit more autumnal. Have a nice weekend x

winter preview

Getting the Christmas card theme ready, it's much harder work than you would think. I am trying to get 10 designs ready. I like to think in these that someone is walking the dog after the Christmas lunch having managed to avoid the washing up. The bottom one is the original colour. Enjoy and have a great weekend. Hope you can fit in some crafting or creativity.

English garden scented rose illustration and other illustrations

These lovely roses came from an English garden in Kent. They have the most beautiful scent. I couldn't resist doing a quick illustration of them. They are in a vase on my table. I think they are Gertrude Jekyll. I am supposed to be working on another project but the roses got priority. Also posted a few other flowers.

Summer

Butterflies are a reminder of summer and along with bees much needed for pollination. These pictures were sent to me to do some drawings/paintings from. I have made a start with a bit of journal practice on the beautiful black and white one. It looks like it has got the most amazing ball gown on and you can really see it's lovely little face. Hope you are enjoying the summer.

Sparkly style

Holiday season table decoration
A while ago at a flower class we were asked to design some flowers in a shoe. I found this lovely pair of shoes in a charity shop with a label that suggested they came originally from a dance shop in Covent Garden. I made a bow and put a cameo on the front and filled the shoe with wax flowers, pink spray roses, rosemary and other greenery. Also shown is an image of a hand painted card and a table decoration I gave to a friend for over the holiday season.
Hand painted card made for a friend to give to her daughter for her birthday.

Happy Christmas and a very happy new year to everyone.
I hope you are all well. Just thought I would write a quick Christmas post. I have been having fun designing a hall table arrangement of roses, Magnolia leaves among some garden foliage and sparkly foliage.  Also a hand painted Scottie dog and a little robin. I am looking forward to Downton Abbey tonight all those lovely costumes. Have a good day x
